Last week the Supreme Court issued a precedential ruling on the conflicts of interest of decisive experts – the court ruled that intervention in an expert opinion will only be done in cases in which there is a real concern for bias, similar to the standards for disqualification of judges. The court added that the existence of a non-personal, professional relationship between an expert and representative lawyers does not constitute a real concern for bias, overturning the District Court ruling.
